MoFA concludes its participation at GITEX 2025 with the launch of a comprehensive suite of smart, people-centric services that enhance government integration
In line with this approach, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security, launched a suite of dedicated consular services for UAE Golden Visa holders. These include issuing a Return Document within just 30 minutes in cases of lost or damaged passports abroad, a dedicated hotline for Golden Visa holders at +971 2 493 1133 offering round-the-clock support, immediate assistance during emergencies, crises, and evacuations, as well as repatriation and burial services within the UAE, accompanied by full support for the bereaved family in the event of death abroad.
Throughout the exhibition, the Ministry showcased its continuous efforts to adopt advanced technology across its service ecosystem. Among the most notable innovations was the Smart Mission project, implemented across several UAE missions worldwide, which allows customers to interact directly and complete transactions without human intervention. The system employs 3D display, hologram, and multilingual virtual officer technologies. The Ministry also highlighted its Digital Document Attestation service, which uses artificial intelligence algorithms to verify the authenticity of electronic documents with exceptional accuracy and speed.
During the event, H.E. Omar Obaid Alhesan Alshamsi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, toured various government exhibits, where he was briefed on leading government initiatives that harness artificial intelligence to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency. The tour included a visit to the Abu Dhabi Government pavilion, where the Ministry signed a cooperation agreement with the Department of Government Enablement in Abu Dhabi to integrate MoFA’s services into the unified Abu Dhabi Government Services platform TAMM. The collaboration also saw the launch of digital attestation services for certificates issued by the Department of Education and Knowledge and the Department of Health in Abu Dhabi—streamlining procedures and providing a unified digital experience that supports the UAE’s digital transformation and strengthens intergovernmental integration to better serve the public.
The exhibition further witnessed the pilot launch of the Twajudi service through the unified government chatbot platform (U-Ask), which leverages artificial intelligence and a smart assistant to provide users with quick and convenient access to government service information in both Arabic and English from a single interface, eliminating the need to browse multiple websites. Additionally, the upgraded Invest in Dubai platform was unveiled, now featuring MoFA’s commercial document attestation service (eDAS). This integration facilitates investor transactions, enhances service efficiency, and supports the UAE’s position as a global hub for business and investment, in line with the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme and the national campaign “The Emirates: The Startup Capital of the World”.
