During its participation in Gitex Global 2022, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) has revealed the details of the soon-to-be launched updated version of its smart app (UAE MOFAIC). MoFAIC is keen to provide high-quality proactive digital services in line with the UAE Digital Government Strategy 2025, and to keep pace with and meet the customers’ expectation. The app's new design is based on high-quality standards that fulfill users' requirements and improve their experience in accessing the service. For example, the customer’s visual experience has been enhanced in a manner that users are shown the services most relevant to them and their needs. Classifications of the services have also been clearly laid out, in addition to simplicity through gradual display of options according to the user's needs.

MoFAIC has embarked on an initiative to establish an infrastructure that is based on the latest technologies, to improve the customer’s experience within a bundle of changes. In this context, H.E. Rashed Nadhar Rahmah, Director of the Information Technology Department at MoFAIC reiterated that the “Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation elaborated an integrated strategy to hone its digital services, as it aimed to design and develop sustainable digital services in partnership with the community, to enhance customer trust and quality of life.”

As a part of MoFAIC’s keenness to provide its customers with the best experience and in preparation to launch the new version of the app, MoFAIC engaged customers in a one-of-a-kind experience, bringing together a group of users from different segments of society in special workshops to experience the user journey in the old version of the application and provide feedback and suggestions for improvement at all stages of development. The team sought to enhance customers’ trust and quality of life by designing digital services that meet the customer’s needs, in line with the highest quality standards and ensure smooth and streamlined access to services. MoFAIC digital services taskforce has spared no effort to improve MoFAIC’s services, and worked with dedication on digitizing the existing services and simplifying the procedures.
