H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed chairs 12th Education and Human Resources Council meeting.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation, and the Chairman of the Education and Human Resources Council, today chaired the 12th meeting of the Council in Abu Dhabi.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed the council members at the start of the meeting, which was followed by the approval of the report from the 11th meeting.
Abdul Rahman bin Mohammed Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention, the Chairman of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR), presented the council’s projects and studies, which were introduced by FAHR to strengthen competitiveness and increase the level of human resource initiatives on a federal government level.
He also highlighted a study about the most prominent elements of the services provided for federal government employees, along with their supporting legislation and infrastructure. These were prepared by incorporating the best international practices, and after numerous standard comparisons that relate to support and implementation mechanisms and other related topics, as well as their costs.
Al Owais said that this study supported efforts that aim to strengthen the efficiency of human resources in ministries and federal authorities, and to improve the levels of productivity, participation and professional harmony, and therefore the happiness and satisfaction of customers. This provides an attractive work environment for those who are qualified and talented, while offering exceptional customer service.
He pointed out that FAHR had previously offered a group of initiatives and studies to the Education and Human Resources Council for strengthening the country’s competitiveness and the hopes of its wise leadership towards international pioneering.
Najla bint Mohammed Al Awar, Minister of Community Development, presented national policies for the family that aims to strengthen family ties, as well as the national policies to empower people with disabilities and the elderly, which aims to provide both groups with a dignified life and strengthen their community participation.
