Sixty nine new diplomats take oath of office before H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed.

A new group of 69 diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) took the oath of office before H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, in a ceremony at the MoFA.
Welcoming the 44 male and 25 female diplomats, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed stressed that the MoFA takes interest in employing all qualified citizens who can serve their country and be its best representatives in the Ministry and overseas.
He also stressed that the UAE, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, spares no effort to provide its citizens with state-of-the-art capabilities of modern-day technologies Sheikh Abdullah urged the diplomats to shoulder their responsibilities and take into account that the MoFA represents their country.
He also wished for success for the new diplomats in their assignments.
He also urged them to communicate with the MoFA's senior officials to present any proposals or issues that they may face.
H.H. the Foreign Minister also commended the families of the diplomats for their efforts in raising and educating their sons and daughters to enable them to attain academic and practical excellence.
He also noted that it is important that all employees should have ambitions and interest in their work and be in agreement with the whole work team in order to create a favourable work environment and promote innovation.
Paying a tribute to the late Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Saudi Arabia's former foreign minister who passed away on Thursday, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah said, "We have lost a brother, a friend and a master.
He was a lot of things to us.
I knew him before I joined the MoFA.
He was a source of inspiration for a lot of people who kept his company and grew up with him."
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah prayed to Allah Almighty to bless the soul of the late Prince Saud Al-Faisal with mercy and to bestow patience and fortitude on his family.
The new diplomats stressed that they will spare no effort to live up to the expectations of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed and up to their responsibility of serving their country in international circles.
Present at the swearing-in ceremony were Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs; Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State; Mohammed Mer Al Raisi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Dr. Tareq Ahmed Al Haidan, Assistant Foreign Minister for International Organisations Affairs; Dr Abdul Rahim Al Awadhi, Assistant Foreign Minister for Legal Affairs; Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Director of the Department of East Asia and Pacific at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; a number of senior officials and heads of departments.
