Do Israeli citizens need a visa to visit the UAE?

No. Under the Mutual Visa Waiver Agreement between the UAE and the State of Israel, Israeli citizens holding valid passports are exempt from visa requirements for short visits to the UAE.

Israeli citizens may stay in the UAE for up to 90 days within a 180-day period, subject to UAE immigration laws and border-control procedures. 

Travelers should hold a passport valid for at least six (6) months from the date of entry into the UAE. 

 

Can I enter the UAE with an Israeli temporary passport, emergency travel document, residence permit, laissez-passer, or non-passport travel document?

No. Entry into the UAE is permitted only with a valid official passport.

I am traveling to the UAE with personal medication. What should I do before departure?

Travelers carrying personal medication should:

1. Carry the medicine in its original packaging.
2. Carry a valid prescription.
3. Carry a medical letter in English, issued by the treating doctor or hospital, explaining the medical condition and the required medication.
4. Check in advance whether the medication requires prior approval from the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention.
5. Avoid carrying medication that is not personally prescribed or not clearly documented.

Some medicines that are available in other countries may be regulated in the UAE. Travelers are responsible for ensuring compliance with UAE law.

 

I am transiting through the UAE and will not leave the airport. Do I need approval for my medication?

Transit passengers who remain within the airport transit area should carry a prescription and a doctor’s letter for any personal medication. What is Twajudi?

Twajudi is a service provided by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs for UAE nationals abroad. It enables the Ministry and UAE missions to communicate with UAE citizens and assist them in emergencies or crises.
