Bilateral relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Federal Republic of Nigeria are characterized by mutual respect and effective cooperation in the diplomatic, economic, social and cultural fields.
There is a joint committee to strengthen cooperation and coordination between the two countries in all fields, especially in the political, economic, cultural, judicial and security, to encourage cooperation in the trade and investment field between the two countries, to exchange experiences and to monitor the implementation of the conventions and protocols.
During 2023, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, visited the UAE twice during which he met with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.
