- Trade relations between Uganda and the United Arab Emirates are very strong, strategic invaluable and are developing further.
- The UAE is a key trade partner to Uganda linking it to the Middle East and an important hub for transiting Ugandan goods to the Americas and Europe to the West; and China, Japan in Asia to the East; while Uganda is a key gateway to UAE exports to the Great lakes Region. The UAE and Uganda have signed several economic agreements BASA, DTA, IPPA, TECA, and others are being negotiated to booster cooperation relations between the two countries.
- The Trade Exchange Volume between the two countries sky rocketed from 1.8 Billion USD to 3.8 Billion USD in 2021.
