Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, concluded an official visit to the People’s Republic of China, aimed at further enhancing the UAE-China comprehensive partnership across priority sectors advancing economic and development cooperation between the two nations.
During the visit, His Highness met H.E. Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, and H.E. Li Qiang, Premier of the State Council, to further strengthen bilateral relations and advance cooperation to new horizons across key areas of shared strategic interest.

UAE Ambassador to China H.E. Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, UAE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance H.E. Younis Haji Al Khoori, and UAE Consul General in HK H.E. Shaikh Saoud Almualla had a meeting with HK Chief Executive John Lee, and Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury Christopher Hui. They noted the strong growth of UAE-HK bilateral ties in economy and trade, investment, finance and technology since Lee’s UAE visit in 2023. Both sides look forward to seizing more future opportunities in light of the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative.
UAE Ambassador to China H.E. Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi and UAE Consul General in HK H.E. Shaikh Saoud Almualla had a meeting with Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing CEO Bonnie Chan and her team, to discuss HKEX’s recent developments in the UAE and its expansion plans in the future.
On the occasion of the Asian Financial Forum, UAE Ambassador to China H.E. Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, UAE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance H.E. Younis Haji Al Khoori, and UAE Consul General in Hong Kong H.E. Shaikh Saoud Almualla met with Hong Kong Financial Secretary the Hon. Paul Chan to discuss how to advance the robust and expanding bilateral economic ties between UAE and Hong Kong/China.
With support from the Department of Education and Knowledge and Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi, the UAE Consulate General in Hong Kong contributed 4 artworks including photography and paintings
