Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of South Africa, and Non-Resident Ambassador to the Republic of Botswana, the Republic of Namibia, and the Kingdom of Lesotho H.E. Mahash Saeed Salem Mahash Al Hameli

H.E. Mahash Saeed Salem Mahash Al Hameli has served as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of South Africa since 2017. He also serves as the UAE's Non-Resident Ambassador to the Republic of Botswana, the Republic of Namibia, and the Kingdom of Lesotho. His Excellency has built a distinguished career spanning both the military and diplomatic fields.

His Excellency began his professional career in the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces, where he held a number of senior leadership positions, including Director of Military Security, Director of Air Intelligence, Squadron Commander, and Head of the Intelligence and Reconnaissance Departments within the Air Intelligence and Security Directorate. In 2012, he joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as Director of the International Security Cooperation Department, a position he held until 2017 before his appointment as Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of South Africa. In addition to his diplomatic responsibilities in South Africa, H.E. has served as the UAE's Non-Resident Ambassador to the Republic of Botswana and the Republic of Namibia since 2018, and to the Kingdom of Lesotho since 2021.
