  • India and UAE have shared trade links through the centuries. Growing India-UAE economic and commercial relations contribute to the stability and strength of a rapidly diversifying and deepening bilateral relationship between the two countries. India and UAE have established strong partnerships in the fields of commerce, trade and Investment. This partnership is expanding, diversifying and emerging into a strategic partnership with emphasis on cooperation in Defense, Energy, Space and IT sectors.
  • The traditionally strong bilateral relations enjoyed by India & UAE received impetus with High Level Visit from Both sides. The visit of Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi to the UAE for the fifth time on 15 July 2023, marked a significant milestone in the deepening of the UAE-India bilateral relationship. In addition, he has visited UAE earlier in June 2022 to convey greetings to HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as he assumed the presidency of the UAE; in August 2019 to receive the UAE's highest civilian award, 'the Order of Zayed’ that was conferred on him by the UAE President in April 2019; in February 2018 for the 6th World Government Summit in Dubai, where India was the Guest of Honor and in August 2015 to mark the beginning of a new strategic partnership between the two countries.
  • Meanwhile, HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, visited India thrice namely from 8-10 September 2023, to attend the 18th Group of 20 (G20) Summit in New Delhi in which the UAE participated as a Guest of Honour; on 26th January 2017 as the Chief Guest at India’s Republic Day Celebrations and in 2016.
