Mutual Visa Exemption Agreement between the United Arab Emirates and the Russian Federation

The Mutual Visa Exemption Agreement between the United Arab Emirates and the Russian Federation entered into force on 17 February 2019.

Under the Agreement, nationals of both countries holding valid passports of any category (diplomatic, special, or ordinary), with a validity of at least six months, and who do not intend to work, study, or reside in the territory of the other country, are exempt from visa requirements and may enter, transit through, or stay in the other country for up to 90 days without a visa.

The total period of stay must not exceed ninety (90) days within any one hundred and eighty (180)-day period.
Nationals of both countries are required to cross the border only through international passenger checkpoints designated and operated in accordance with the legislation of each respective state.

Once a traveler has accumulated 90 days of stay within a 180-day period calculated from the date of first entry, they must leave the country. Re-entry is permitted only after the completion of 180 days from the date of the initial entry.
