Mr. Kohdar Sheikho, Head of the Zakho Autonomous Administration, received His Excellency Ahmed Hassan Suleiman Al Shehhi, UAE Consul General in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, during his visit to the Zakho area. The meeting addressed bilateral relations between the UAE and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, as well as investment projects being implemented by Emirati companies in the Zakho area. They also discussed establishing joint projects in trade, tourism, and services, as well as the possibility of cooperation in organizing cultural and tourism events. The Head of the Zakho Autonomous Administration and the UAE Consul General toured the city of Zakho, visiting Zakho Citadel, Zakho Market, Zakho Museum, and several other tourist and archaeological sites.
