During the meeting, His Highness welcomed Dr Mohamed Irfaan Ali, who is visiting the country to participate in the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28), which will start tomorrow at Expo City Dubai.
The two sides reviewed opportunities to develop existing ties, especially in the economic and development fields, in a way that serves the vision of the two countries for a sustainable society and prosperous future.
The meeting also discussed the importance of COP28 in finding solutions to achieve sustainability and drive global climate action.
The two presidents exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common interest.
The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court; and Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation.
