UAE participates in Ministerial Meeting of Global Coalition Against Daesh in Marrakesh

Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State, has participated in the Ministerial Meeting of the Global Coalition Against Daesh, which was co-chaired by the Kingdom of Morocco and the United States in Marrakesh.
During the meeting, Al Marar underscored the need to enhance cooperation to counter the terrorist acts committed by Daesh, and prevent the regrouping of its ranks in Syria and Iraq. He also highlighted the situation in Afghanistan and the importance of coordinating efforts aimed at achieving peace and prosperity for the Afghani people.
Moreover, Al Marar affirmed that the UAE supports the coalition's efforts to combat the spread of Daesh in Africa, reiterating the UAE’s commitment to supporting global efforts aimed at eliminating all forms of extremism and terrorism through promoting tolerance and coexistence. Furthermore, he underscored the UAE's firm belief that cooperation and collaboration is the most effective way in combating extremism and terrorism, in line with the nation’s vision to maintain stability, peace and prosperity in the region, and the world.
