Emirates Club distributes gifts to 24 Serbian orphans.

The Emirates Football Club in cooperation with the UAE Embassy in Belgrade hosted 24 Serbian orphans in Belgrade, as part of a humanitarian initiative that aims to support children on the occasion of the "Year of Zayed 2018", on the sidelines of the "Football First Team Camp" in Serbia.

The event was attended by Mubarak Saeed Barasheed Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to Serbia, and Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Shamsi, Head of Consular Services and Citizens Affairs Department at the Embassy, as well as administrative and technical staff and the team players.

During the event, they held sporting and cultural activities, as well as entertainment competitions, and distributed gifts to the children, in the presence of a delegation from the Football Association of Serbia, and were covered by the Serbian media.

"We welcome the members of the UAE mission in Serbia, and we thank the head and members of the mission for the outstanding initiative," Al Dhaheri said during his meeting with members of the club’s administrative and technical staff and players.

He also praised the preparations of the club and wished them success.

Al Dhaheri was briefed about the club’s preparations in Serbia and expressed the fact that the UAE Embassy is willing to assist them in making the camp a success.

Nasser Tahnoun Al Naqbi, member of the board and Head of the UAE Football Mission, thanked Al Dhaheri for his visit and conveyed to him, on behalf of the entire club, their appreciation and gratitude.

Al Dhaheri witnessed a friendly game between the UAE team, led by Tunisian coach Jalal Qaderi, against Donov Panovets, which was won by the UAE team by two goals that were scored by Mohammed Saeed and Jawhar Ahmed, in the presence of Naji Mohammed Naji, Member of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Football Club, and Bassem Abdullah Al Shamsi, Head of the Team
