Over 2,000 culture and heritage lovers visited the exhibition ‘So That You Might Know Each Other’: Faith and Culture in Islam with The Souq – A Festival of Culture, sponsored by the UAE Embassy in Australia, in collaboration with the National Museum of Australia and Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization.
The event, the first Islamic exhibition to be staged at the National Museum of Australia, lasted three months and introduced the UAE's culture, heritage, food and folkloric music performances as well as the timeline of the birth of the UAE and its achievements to international visitors.
A number of Arab and Islamic diplomatic missions and communities participated in the cultural gathering.
