UAE economic delegation meets with Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Under-Secretary.

Mohammed Sharaf, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Economic and Trade Affairs, today met with Ambassador Abdul Ghani Al Naeem, Under-Secretary of the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the ministry’s headquarters in Khartoum, Sudan.

The meeting was also attended by Hamad Mohammed Humaid Al Junaibi, UAE Ambassador to Sudan, and several department directors from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, along with department directors and chairmen from the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The meeting is part of the visit of a UAE delegation, which includes senior officials from the economic sector, which aims to promote cooperation with Sudanese businessmen and assess several Emirati investment projects in Sudan.

Al Naeem praised the deep and historic bilateral relations between the UAE and Sudan while affirming that his country aims to develop its cooperation and exchange knowledge with the UAE in business and trade. The UAE’s advancement benefits the citizens of both countries and strengthens their bilateral economic relations, he added.

Sharaf commended the relations between the UAE and Sudan while highlighting the UAE’s desire to strengthen and develop these relations, reflecting the ambitions and directives of the leadership of both countries.

He added that their bilateral relations are built on understanding, mutual respect and a common desire to develop them.

Al Junaibi stated that the relationship between the UAE and Sudan has always been characterised by mutual respect, in light of the strong ties between their leadership, which has reflected positively on their official, political, economic and humanitarian efforts, as well as on their cultural, social and commercial development. The key characteristics of these relations are their ability to establish and develop their mutual friendship, which is governed by several common goals, most notably joint Arab solidarity and work, he added.
