The Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has received a letter of confirmation from the Prime Minister of Latvia about his country's participation in the Expo 2020 Dubai.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received the letter when he welcomed Astra Kurme, Ambassador of the Republic of Latvia to the UAE, at the ministry.
He further emphasised that Expo 2020 Dubai is a true opportunity for international co-operation and celebration of human creativity and a window that provides access to solutions, products and technologies that will shape the future of humanity. It is an international platform that represents the best and the latest human inventions and innovations in different fields as well as the exchange of knowledge and expertise, he said.
Kurme expressed her admiration for the UAE's cultural boom and its international stature in various global events.
