UAE funds construction and rejuvenation of a number of schools and constructs a road in Al Dhale.
The Emirates Red Crescent Authority, ERC, and Fadl Al Jaadi, Governor of Al Dhale Governorate and Member of the Southern Transitional Council, have signed, this morning, an agreement to build two new schools in the governorate and rebuild several other schools, as well as to pave a three-kilometre road to one of the remote local villages.
The agreement was signed by Eng. Mohammed Al Ketbi, Representative of the ERC, and Governor Al Jaadi.
Al Jaadi stated that these projects are funded by a grant provided by the UAE to Al Dhale Governorate, with a financial value of AED3 million, as part of the activities of the Year of Giving 2017. He added that that the first stage of the support will include the rehabilitation of 16 schools, which were destroyed by the war that was started by the Houthi militias.
Al Jaadi presented his appreciation to the UAE’s leadership, government and people for their generous support, which reflects the UAE’s historic relations with the Yemeni people.
