Ghazi Abdullah Salem Al Mehri, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Ethiopia, has presented his credentials as a non-resident ambassador to South Sudan, to Salva Kiir Mayardit, President of the Republic of South Sudan.
During the meeting, in Juba, the UAE ambassador expressed the UAE's interest and keenness to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation with South Sudan, wishing the region's leadership and its people further stability and progress.
The President of South Sudan in turn praised the level of bilateral relations, expressing his country's keenness to develop and strengthen those relations, wishing the UAE and its people continuous prosperity, and Mr. Al Mehri luck with performing his duties.
The two sides also discussed means of developing bilateral relations between the two countries in the economic and investment fields, and reviewed the current situation in the region and the possibility of facilitating humanitarian aid to those in need.
