Mohamed Osman Jawari, Speaker of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, has received Mohammed Ahmed Othman Al Hammadi, UAE Ambassador to Somalia, in Mogadishu.
Jawari thanked the UAE's government and people for the support provided to the country, noting that the "For You Somalia" campaign was launched at the right time to aid Somalia's citizens and alleviate their suffering caused by the drought.
He described relations between the UAE and Somalia as strategic, highlighting the UAE's continuous support for Somalia in all fields. The speaker also emphasised the strong ties between the Somali parliament and the Federal National Council, FNC.
The UAE diplomat thanked Jawari for developing relations between the two countries and facilitating missions of the Emirates Red Crescent to aid the victims of drought in Somalia.
