Charge d’Affaires of the United Arab Emirates to Afghanistan, Ahmad Nasser Al-Khaja attended the opening ceremony of the Zayed Hospital for Motherhood and Childhood in Kabul, at the invitation of Afghanistan's Minister of Public Health, Ferozuddin Feroz.
The opening ceremony was attended by Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Chief Executive of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, and other senior officials of the Afghan government.
The attendees praised the UAE's role in supporting the government and peoples of Afghanistan through the various development and humanitarian aid programmes and projects.
The Zayed Hospital for Motherhood and Childhood was funded and constructed by the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, and has been equipped with all the necessary medical equipment to provide health and medical services for women and children.
