UAE and Jordan discuss water provision cooperation.

Dr. Hazim El Naser, Minister of Water and Irrigation in Jordan, has received Matar Saif Al-Shamsi, UAE Ambassador to Jordan, and discussed mutual cooperation with him.

During the meeting, which was held at the ministry headquarters, the parties discussed aspects of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of water supply and means of enhancing them, as well as benefiting from the experiences, projects and successful programmes between the two countries.

The two sides expressed their satisfaction with the bilateral cooperation between the UAE and Jordan in the fields of water supply and projects, and stressed the keenness of the two countries to boost this cooperation.

Dr. El Naser reviewed water conditions in Jordan and its increasing development needs, as well as discussing the projects that Jordan intends to implement to meet these challenges, such as the transfer of water from the Red Sea to the Dead Sea.

He also praised UAE experience in the field of dams and water channels, which contributed to solving part of the water issue in Jordan.
