The military aircraft coming from Kandahar with the UAE’s Ambassador in Afghanistan, Juma Mohammad Abdullah Al Kaabi, another diplomat, and the Afghan translator working at the embassy, who survived the terrorist attack, arrived safely at Abu Dhabi airport.
Fares Mohammed Al Mazrouei, the UAE Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Security and Military Affairs, Mohammed Mir Al Raisi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and a number of officials from the Ministry of Presidential affairs, the Armed Forces and State institutions were at the airport to welcome them.
The families of the ambassador and the diplomat were also at the airport to welcome them. Afterwards, they were sent for treatment.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation wished Al Kaabi and the diplomat a speedy recovery, while appreciating the sacrifices of the nation’s citizens.
