UAE FM meets Yemeni President in New York.

Yemeni President Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi received H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the UAE, to discuss developments in Yemen, including the humanitarian and economic situation and challenges facing efforts to push the political process forward.

During the meeting, held on the sidelines of the 71st session of the United Nations General Assembly, they reaffirmed the common positions of their two countries and stressed the need for continued coordination of positions that would support the political process in Yemen.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed renewed the UAE's commitment to its firm position of backing constitutional legitimacy in Yemen and the efforts aimed at securing respect for the country's sovereignty and independence as well as rejecting interference in its internal affairs.

President Hadi expressed his appreciation for the UAE's continuous and generous political and humanitarian support for his country and people.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah conveyed greetings to President Hadi from President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

In return, the Yemeni president asked H.H. Sheikh Abdullah to pass on his greetings to Their Highnesses.

H.E. Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State, Faris Mohammed Al Mazrouie, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Security and Military Affairs, attended the meeting.
