H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed meets Madagascar's president

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met with Hery Rajaonarimampianina, President of Madagascar, to discuss aspects of bilateral relations between their two countries and ways of developing them in all fields.

During the meeting, held on the sidelines of the 71st session of the United Nations General Assembly, they examined their countries' positions and views on key political issues of common interest for the two countries and their peoples.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed and Beatrice Atallah, Minister of Foreign Minister of Madagascar, signed a joint statement establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries as of Thursday, 22nd September, 2016.

H.E. Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation, and Ambassador Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Permanent Representative of the UAE to the United Nations, attended the meeting.
