UAE Ambassador attends meeting of the diplomatic and consular corps with Bangladesh Foreign Minister

Security for diplomats and their staffs was discussed when Ambassador of the UAE to Bangladesh Dr. Saeed bin Hijr Al Shehhi attended a meeting between Bangladesh Minister of Foreign Affairs Abul Hassan Mahmud Ali and members of the diplomatic and consular corps and representatives of organisations operating in Bangladesh. 

During the meeting which took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka, officials explained security measures taken by the government of Bangladesh in the wake of the terrorist attack which struck the Holey Artisan restaurant in the diplomatic neighborhood in Dhaka in July. 

They also discussed additional security measures that the government will take to prevent future attacks by extremists and, in particular, secure the premises of diplomatic missions and assure the continuation of their work in Bangladesh.
