UAE Ambassador meets Somalia's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Investment Promotion

Ambassador of the UAE to Somalia, H.E. Mohammed Ahmed Al Othman, has met with Somalia's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Investment Promotion, Abdusalam Omer, at the UAE Embassy. 

The pair discussed ways of promoting the strong bilateral relations between the UAE and Somalia in various areas. 

The Somali minister stressed that relations with the UAE are historic. 

He thanked the UAE for extending unlimited support to Somalia through development projects across the country. He noted that the UAE also plays a humanitarian role during the month of Ramadan to alleviate the suffering of the Somali people. 

On his part, the UAE ambassador thanked the Somali minister for making efforts to bolster relations between the two ministers. 

Later, the UAE ambassador hosted an iftar banquet at the Embassy in honour of the Somali minister.
