The UAE-Belarus Joint Consular Committee held its second meeting

The UAE-Belarus Joint Consular Committee held its second meeting in Abu Dhabi.

The UAE side was headed by H.E. Ahmed Saeed Elham Al Dhahiri, Assistant Under-Secretary for Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, while the Belarusian side was chaired by Igor Bondarev, Head of Legal and Consular Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The two sides discussed a number of topics, including ways to strengthen co-operation in consular affairs.

H.E. Al Dhaheri praised Belarus's recent decision to exempt citizens of the UAE who hold special, mission, and regular passports from prior entry visa requirement.

Bondarev lauded his country's progressive relations with the UAE and the growing co-operation between the two countries, especially in consular affairs.

He also commended UAE's active role in international humanitarian affairs and its contributions towards easing the suffering of needy people around the world.
