UAE President mourns death of Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al-Thani.

President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has mourned the death of Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad al-Thani, former Emir of Qatar.

The Ministry of Presidential Affairs issued a statement in which His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed mourned the death of Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad al-Thani, who passed away yesterday.

"The former Emir was one of the pioneers of the GCC joint work who joined his fellow leaders in the establishment of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf and strengthening its march."

The statement prayed to Allah to bestow his mercy on the deceased and rest his soul in eternal peace, and to grant his family and the Qatari people patience and solace to bear this loss.
