H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed meets with Saudi and US counterparts.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, last night met with the Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir, and the US Secretary of State, John Kerry, to discuss ways to meet the challenges facing the GCC region.

During the meeting, which was held in Abu Dhabi, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah reviewed GCC-US joint relations and ways of enhancing them at all levels within the framework of ongoing communication and coordination between the GCC and the US. The parties discussed the best ways to meet the challenges facing the GCC and how to contribute to the consolidation of international peace and security and building the pillars of stability in the region.

The parties also discussed and exchanged views on various developments in the Arab region and the efforts to resume the peace process in the Middle East, and the efforts to combat terrorism and extremism, particularly the terrorist organisation Daesh, as well as other current regional and international issues.
