The Foreign Ministry has confirmed that Twairish Isa Jaber Al Khaili, a 20-year-old Emirati with special needs, and Ahmed Suhail Al Khaili, a 6-year-old child, who went missing in the German city of Munich on Wednesday, have been found at a shelter home in Nureneberg city.

The UAE Ambassador to Germany, Juma Mubarak Al Junaibi, said officials from the UAE Consulate in Munich headed to the shelter and brought them back to their family.

On Wednesday, the ministry received a note that the two were missing in Munich and immediately started coordinating the search efforts while the UAE Ambassador to Germany notified the German police.

Al Junaibi said the Munich Police, the Federal Police, diplomats from the UAE consulate and Emiratis in Munich joined the search operation. He thanked the German authorities and the Emirati and German people who helped in the search for the two missing citizens.

The ministry has urged the citizens travelling abroad to closely monitor their children, especially those with special needs, to ensure that they do not go missing.
