- The historical visit of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan President of the UAE to Türkiye in 24th of November 2021, and the visit of His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdogan President of the Republic of Türkiye to the UAE in14th of February 2022, reinforcement the economic and trade relations between the two countries.
- Trade relations between Türkiye and the United Arab Emirates are prospering and succeed.
- The volume of trade exchange between the two sides during 2021 stated to about $ 8.9 billion.
- The UAE had announced in November 2021 setting up a US$10 billion investment fund in Türkiye, which focuses on strategic investments in the energy, health and food sectors.
- Türkiye ranks 11th among the largest trading partners of the UAE, while the UAE is Türkiye’s 12th trading partner globally and its largest trading partner in the Gulf region.
- The UAE has also investments in the Turkish ports and banking and tourism sectors.
- During the historical visit of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan President of the UAE to Türkiye 12 agreements and memorandums were signed in various areas, on defense industry, health, climate change, industry, technology, trade and economy.
- During the visit of His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdogan President of the Republic of Türkiye to the UAE in14th of February 2022, 13 agreements and memorandums were signed in various areas, on defense industry, transportation, health and medical science, agriculture and tourism
