The Arab-Irish Chamber of Commerce in Dublin collects all documents on behalf of The UAE Embassy in Ireland for attestation.

Please note that the embassy does not receive nor process medical application. All applications are processed via MOHAP.

• A written request (Note Verbal) from the embassy or high commission stating the applicants: details, purpose and dates of travel 
• A completed and signed application form for each applicant. 
• 2 recent passport size photo.
• A Passport valid for at least 6 months from the expected date of arrival. 
• The applicants contact information (mobile, e-mail address). 
• Processing time is 7-10 working days.

Those who hold a UAE residents visa, and have had their passports lost/ stolen are required to apply for an "Entry Permit" for re-entry into the UAE. 

The requests for entry permits are received and processed by the consular section of the UAE embassy during the working hours: 10:00 AM till 02:00 PM, Monday to Friday the following documents are required: 

• A completed and signed application form. Please request this form via email: dublinemb@mofaic.gov.ae
• A copy of the old passport.
• A copy of the new passport. Important: The new passport must be a full passport. Emergency passports are not accepted. 
• A copy of UAE resident permit. 
• A copy of UAE ID card. 6. 2 passport sized photo. 
• A headed letter from your sponsor confirming your position and place of work 
• Lost/stolen report has to be obtained from the Garda and ensure it includes the lost passport number. 

The report has to be attested by the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs Please ensure you have all the above documents. 

The documents must be delivered to the consulate in person between 10:00am-02:00pm Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays). Processing time is 7-10 working days.

Holders of full Irish passports (travel documents are not accepted) do not require advance visa arrangements to enter UAE and can obtain a free of charge visit/ tourist visa upon arrival into UAE. The visa is valid for 30 days.

If you wish to stay longer, you may make a request with the Immigration Officer at the airport or contact the local General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs prior to the expiry date (chargeable services).

If you are a national from a country that requires a pre-arranged visit/ tourist visa, to submit a visa application you will need to contact one of the following sponsors: 

• UAE based Airlines can assist their clients in applying for tourist/visitor visas. Please contact them for their relevant procedures. It is advisable to contact the airline before making a booking.

• Friends/relatives who are living and working with a valid residence permit in UAE can apply for a visa as your sponsor through the local immigration office in the UAE. 

• UAE based Hotels can assist their guests with sponsoring and applying for tourist/ visit visas. Note: The UAE Embassy in Dublin does not issue Tourist/ visit visas for ordinary passport holders. Passports must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry into the UAE.

To be used in the UAE: In order to attest your police clearance certificate is  https://www.dubaipolice.gov.ae/wps/portal/home/home  used by the An Garda Síochána to be used in UAE, it must be attested by the Department of Foreign Affairs first.
