UAE nationals may apply for a Return Document through the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs website or the UAE MoFA smart application. Once all requirements and conditions have been met, the Return Document is typically issued within 30 minutes.
Yes. UAE nationals may renew their passports through the website of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) at www.icp.gov.ae, subject to the Authority's terms and conditions.

Australian nationals holding ordinary passports do not require a visa in advance to visit the UAE for tourism or short stays, provided their passport is valid for at least six months from the date of entry. Eligible travelers may obtain a 30-day visa on arrival at any UAE port of entry, which may be extended for an additional 60 days, subject to the applicable regulations.

Foreign residents in Australia who are not eligible for a visa on arrival may apply for a short-term UAE visit visa through a UAE national airline (such as Emirates or Etihad Airways), their hotel in the UAE, an accredited UAE travel agency, or their host or sponsoring entity in the UAE.
Please note that the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Canberra does not issue entry visas.
Holders of diplomatic or official passports requiring a UAE entry visa may submit their request by email to canberraemb@mofa.gov.ae. The Embassy will provide the applicable requirements and application procedures.
A UAE Police Clearance Certificate (Certificate of Good Conduct) may be obtained through the official digital channels of Dubai Police or the UAE Ministry of Interior.

The online application will guide you through each step of the process until the certificate has been digitally attested by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the UAE Mission in the destination country.
The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Canberra can issue a letter confirming the details of a valid UAE driver's license, subject to the applicable requirements. To apply, please send your request to canberraemb@mofa.gov.ae. The Embassy will provide the required documents and application procedures.
