The opening of the EU Delegation in Abu Dhabi in 2013 testifies to the commitment to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
With a view to further deepen the relationship between the parties, in 2015 the UAE and EU signed the visa waiver agreement, which represents a milestone in this fruitful cooperation.
The UAE-EU Cooperation Arrangement, signed in 2018 and launched one year after, scales up this relation through an intensification of political dialogue and strengthened cooperation on key strategic issues of mutual interest, notably trade facilitation and research.
