The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates to the Swiss Confederation in Bern organized an informational workshop on the 2026 UN Water Conference, which will be hosted by the United Arab Emirates in collaboration with the Republic of Senegal in Abu Dhabi from December 8 to 10, 2026. The conference aims to support and accelerate the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6).
Her Excellency Patricia Danzi, Director General of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), delivered a speech in which she highlighted Switzerland’s important role in supporting the global water agenda. She emphasized that Switzerland’s expertise in research, engineering, and multilateral cooperation makes it a key partner in developing practical and sustainable solutions to global water challenges.
The event was also attended by numerous representatives from the political and diplomatic spheres, as well as from companies, institutions, and organizations in the water sector.
