His Excellency Saeed Al Hajeri Meets President of Azerbaijan

His Excellency Saeed Al Hajeri, Minister of State, met with His Excellency Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, during a working visit to Azerbaijan. The meeting explored ways to enhance bilateral relations and expand cooperation across various sectors.

H.E. Al Hajeri conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, to H.E. President Aliyev, along with their wishes for further progress and prosperity for the government and people of Azerbaijan.

For his part, H.E. President Aliyev conveyed his greetings to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, along with his wishes for further progress and development for the government and people of the UAE.

H.E. Al Hajeri and H.E. President Aliyev underscored the strong bilateral relations between the UAE and Azerbaijan and ways to further advance them. They also discussed the latest developments in the Strategic Partnership Cooperation Committee between the two countries, noting the scope of projects and sectors it encompasses and commending the efforts of the teams in delivering sustainable initiatives with tangible outcomes. In addition, the two sides explored opportunities to enhance cooperation in artificial intelligence, as well as future joint development projects.

H.E. President Aliyev affirmed his country’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with the UAE and advancing bilateral relations to serve the mutual interests of both countries and peoples.

Both sides discussed regional developments. The President of Azerbaijan noted that, during his calls with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, he affirmed his country’s rejection of the Iranian attacks targeting the UAE and the region. In this context, H.E. President Aliyev expressed his hope for a lasting and sustainable ceasefire.

For his part, H.E. Al Hajeri expressed the UAE’s appreciation for Azerbaijan’s supportive stance in condemning Iran’s unprovoked terrorist attacks targeting the UAE and several countries in the region.

The meeting was attended by H.E. Mohammed Al Blooshi, UAE Ambassador to Azerbaijan; H.E. Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment; H.E. Omran Sharaf, Assistant Foreign Minister for Advanced Science and Technology; and His Excellency Mohamed Alabbar, founder and managing director of Emaar.
