
Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Jarwan, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, has met with Olga Sanchez Cordero, Mexican Interior Minister, and discussed ways to build bridges of cooperation between the Council and vital sectors in Mexico, including the government sector.
The meeting, which was attended by Ahmed Hatem Al Minhali, UAE Ambassador to Mexico, and a number of senior Mexican officials, touched on ways to promote and spread tolerance and to explore and identify appropriate means of cooperation.
The delegation reviewed the fundamentals of the council, praising the will of Mexico and its people to overcome difficult time, which has gained them an experience that will contribute to promoting the principles of tolerance and peace regionally and internationally.
For her part, the Mexican Minister said that the path taken by Mexico, especially with the important political and social transformation that the country is undergoing in the light of the presidential transition, is based on solid foundations that reinforce the concept of human rights, peace and tolerance.
She also reviewed a set of public policies and government projects.
