  • If documents have already been attested and have a clear MOFA Stamp (No other stamp will be accepted and will thus be treated as noncompliance).
  • Any invoice that shows a national purchase as movement of goods from onshore to onshore areas in the UAE – not to include invoices related to movements from free zones to onshore areas.
  • 3rd Country Transit Shipment from one country to another.
FAQs

If you opt for MoFA Attestation through MOHAP’s website, the total attestation service fee is AED 300, inclusive of:
- MoFA attestation fees: AED 150
- UAE Embassy in destination country attestation fees: AED 150
FAQs

Who can use Digital Attestation?

Individuals and companies wishing to attest an eligible UAE-issued digital document for use outside the United Arab Emirates may apply for the service.
FAQs

Can I upload a scanned copy or a photograph of my document?

No. Digital Attestation requires the original digital document issued electronically by the relevant issuing authority. A scanned copy, photograph, or manually created copy is not considered an original digital document.
FAQs

Can commercial invoices and certificates of origin be submitted through this service?

No. They are processed through the Ministry's Commercial Document Attestation Service (eDAS).
FAQs

Why must I specify the destination country?

It determines whether Digital Attestation is available, the available attestation completion options, and whether UAE Embassy/Consulate attestation is included.
FAQs

What does the option "Embassy/Consulate of the Selected Destination Country in the UAE" mean?

Selecting this option means that the Digital Attestation service includes Ministry attestation only. If the destination country requires additional attestation by its embassy or consulate in the UAE, you must complete that step separately.
FAQs

What does the option "UAE Embassy/Consulate in the Selected Destination Country" mean?

Selecting this option means that the completed service includes: 1. Attestation by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and 2. Attestation by the relevant UAE Embassy or Consulate responsible for the selected destination country. Both attestations are completed as part of the service.
FAQs

Can I change the attestation completion option after submitting my application?

No. If you require a different option, you must submit a new application, provided that the option is available for the selected destination country.
FAQs

Which option should I choose if both options are available?

Choose the option that best suits your preferred attestation journey. You may either: • Complete the process in two separate steps by obtaining the Ministry's attestation first, followed by any additional attestation required by the embassy or consulate of the destination country in the UAE; or • Complete the entire attestation journey through a single application, including the Ministry's attestation followed by attestation by the relevant UAE Embassy or Consulate responsible for the selected destination country.
FAQs

Why may cause my application to be rejected?

Your application may be rejected if: • The information entered is incorrect. • The information does not match the document. • The document is not original or has been altered. • The issuing authority or document type has been selected incorrectly. • The document does not meet the attestation requirements. • A document eligible for Digital Attestation has been submitted through the Courier-Based Attestation pathway. The rejection notification will specify the recorded reason.
FAQs

What should I do if my application is rejected?

Read the reason carefully and correct the issue before submitting a new application. This may require you to: • Enter the correct information. • Upload the correct document. • Select the correct issuing authority or document type. • Submit a new application using the appropriate attestation method.
FAQs

What should I do if I believe my application was rejected incorrectly?

Contact Customer Service and provide: • The application reference number. • The rejection reason. • A clear explanation. • Any relevant supporting documents or screenshots. Your case will then be reviewed.
FAQs
