Economic and investment cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and the sisterly Sultanate of Oman represents a central pillar of their strategic partnership and a key driver of bilateral integration. Supported by the leadership of both countries, economic ties have continued to deepen through expanding trade and investment flows, stronger private-sector engagement, and the development of joint projects across sectors of strategic importance.
The UAE is among Oman’s leading trading partners, reflecting the depth and growing diversification of economic ties between the two countries. Bilateral agreements and memoranda of understanding, together with the frameworks established through their membership in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), provide a strong foundation for cooperation across manufacturing, energy, transport and logistics, food security, tourism, the digital economy, and other priority sectors.
This growing partnership is increasingly reflected in strategic, cross-border projects that strengthen connectivity and support long-term economic integration. Foremost among these is the UAE–Oman railway, alongside cooperation in special economic zones and ports, advanced technology, and renewable energy. These initiatives are creating new opportunities for investment and trade, strengthening regional supply chains and logistics connectivity, and enhancing the competitiveness of both economies.
Government entities, economic institutions, chambers of commerce, and business communities in both countries continue to advance private-sector partnerships and identify high-value investment opportunities, further broadening the economic relationship and supporting the sustainable growth and prosperity of both countries.
