UAE Embassy Hosts Reception to Celebrate the 54th Eid Al Etihad
The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in the Kingdom of Bahrain hosted a reception on Wednesday, 26 November 2025, to mark the UAE’s 54th Eid Al Etihad. The event was attended by H.E. Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives; H.E. Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs; a number of members of the Shura Council and Council of Representatives, senior officials, heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the Kingdom of Bahrain, and other invited guests.

On the occasion, the Minister of Foreign Affairs delivered a speech conveying the greetings and appreciation of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain, “may God protect and preserve him,” as well as His Majesty’s sincere congratulations to H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, “may God protect and preserve him,” and the Rulers of the Emirates. He also conveyed His Majesty’s wishes for the UAE’s continued progress and prosperity and for its government and people further advancement and well-being.

He said that the 54th anniversary of the UAE’s Union Day recalls the journey of establishing the United Arab Emirates, led with wisdom and foresight by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may he rest in peace, and his fellow Rulers of the Emirates. Their efforts laid the foundations of a strong, modern state based on a clear vision and an ambitious development path that has made the UAE a leading Arab, regional, and global model in sustainable development, innovation, a diversified economy, and humanitarian action.

He added that Eid Al Etihad represents a bright national occasion embodying the values of unity, solidarity, and joint action, which have enabled the UAE to consolidate its position as an influential force in its region, contribute positively to strengthening regional and international security and stability, promote a culture of tolerance and openness, and build balanced and fruitful relations with countries around the world.

The Foreign Minister said: “In the Kingdom of Bahrain, we take great pride in the deep and close fraternal relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and its sister country, the United Arab Emirates. These relations represent an established model, rooted in decades of cooperation and based on genuine fraternal bonds, a shared destiny, and a common history. These relations enjoy the generous patronage and close attention of His Majesty the King, and his brother, the President of the UAE, ‘may God protect and preserve them,’ as well as the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, ‘may God protect him.’”

The Minister expressed Bahrain’s pride in the continued development of bilateral relations and ongoing coordination across political, economic, security, and development fields, reaffirming the commitment of the two countries’ leaders to strengthening the foundations of their longstanding strategic partnership in a manner that benefits both countries and their brotherly peoples and supports regional stability and prosperity, both now and in the future.

The Foreign Minister also praised the UAE’s pioneering role in promoting the principles of peace and stability, its leading initiatives in supporting international efforts to address humanitarian crises and advance sustainable development, and its firm commitment to collective action and international responsibility, which has strengthened its position as an active country in supporting peace and prosperity in the region and around the world.

For his part, H.E. Fahad Mohammed bin Kardous Al Ameri, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Kingdom of Bahrain, expressed his pride in the historic fraternal relations between the two countries and their brotherly peoples. He affirmed the UAE’s commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation and joint action with Bahrain across various fields in a manner that delivers mutual benefits to both countries.

In his speech at the reception, the Ambassador noted that the 54th anniversary of the founding and establishment of the United Arab Emirates is being celebrated this year under the theme “United,” which embodies the unity of Emirati society and the cohesion of its various components, while expressing the values of cooperation and joint action upon which the UAE was founded.

He said: “On this day, we recall the journey of an exceptional nation that began with a wise vision and steadfast determination, transforming the Union into a unique model of nation-building, development, and progress. It is a journey that has shaped the present and laid the foundations for the future, guided by wise leadership that has placed people at the heart of development and made the advancement and prosperity of the nation its enduring goal.”

He added: “Today, our wise leadership continues this journey with confidence, driving major transformations across various fields—from economic development and sustainable growth to space exploration, from clean energy to artificial intelligence—placing the UAE at the forefront of nations that are shaping the future rather than waiting for it.”

He affirmed that these achievements were not a matter of chance, but the result of a comprehensive strategic vision grounded in a determination to lead, effective use of resources, and investment in people and knowledge. This has made the UAE a global destination for innovation, growth, and creativity across various fields. He stressed the UAE’s continued commitment to its steadfast approach based on cooperation, openness, and constructive engagement with countries and communities around the world in support of peace, stability, and sustainable development.

The UAE Ambassador to Bahrain extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to H.E. Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, for attending the celebration, as well as to all participants and distinguished guests who joined the UAE in celebrating its national occasion. He noted that their participation reflects the fraternal bonds and longstanding ties of affection, cooperation, integration, and joint action between the two countries and their peoples, serving their mutual interests. He wished the Kingdom of Bahrain continued progress and prosperity.
