H.E. Sheikh Shakhbout Bin Nahyan participates in the 30th anniversary commemoration of the Genocide against the Tutsi in the Republic of Rwanda
On behalf of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, H.E. Sheikh Shakhbout Bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, attended the ceremony marking the 30th anniversary of the Genocide against the Tutsi in the Republic of Rwanda. A number of heads of state and government, as well as representatives attended the event from international and regional organizations.
The President of Rwanda expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the delegations who came to show their solidarity with Rwanda on this painful anniversary.
H.E. Sheikh Shakhbout Bin Nahyan stated that the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the Genocide against the Tutsi holds significant meaning, emphasizing the importance of fostering values of tolerance, coexistence, and acceptance of others across the world, free from discrimination.
His Excellency further emphasized that the UAE's message, led by President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, carries peace, tolerance, and hope to the entire world.
His Excellency also praised the role of the Republic of Rwanda in promoting and spreading the values of tolerance and coexistence, as well as its efforts to establish peace and stability, supporting the aspirations of people for a dignified life and prosperity.
Sheikh Shakhbout Bin Nahyan’s participation in this event reflects the UAE's commitment to the principles of unity, reconciliation, and coexistence, and underscores its continuous efforts to support stability and prosperity in the region.
