Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of the Philippines and Non-Resident Ambassador to the Republic of Palau H.E. Mohamed Obaid Al Qattam

H.E. Mohamed Obaid Al Qattam has served as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of the Philippines and Non-Resident Ambassador to the Republic of Palau since October 2021. He brings more than two decades of diplomatic experience, having served in UAE diplomatic missions abroad and held a range of leadership positions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since joining the Ministry in 2002.

During his diplomatic career, H.E. Al Qattam served as Chargé d'Affaires at the UAE Embassy in the United Republic of Tanzania from 2012 to 2014, and as Second Secretary at the UAE Embassy to the Kingdom of Belgium in 2008. At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he has held several key positions, including Director of the Foreign Nationals Affairs Department, Deputy Director of the Operations Department, and Diplomatic Attaché in the GCC Affairs Department and the African Affairs Department.

As Non-Resident Ambassador to the Republic of Palau, H.E. Al Qattam is committed to strengthening bilateral relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Palau. Under his tenure, cooperation between the two countries has continued to expand across a range of sectors of mutual interest.
