As a result, many Japanese newspapers touched on the UAE Jubilee, noting the significant achievements the country has made during the past fifty years and the courageous plans and visions for the next fifty years (until 2071) that the UAE leadership has put forward. Speaking to the Japanese media, Ms. Muna Al Maeeni, Chargé d'Affairs and Deputy Chief of Mission, touched on the achievements made in the past fifty years in many sectors and stated that the successes of the United Arab Emirates during the year 2020, "the year of preparation for the next fifty," will significantly contribute to the development process of the nation until the centenary.
She emphasized that despite the circumstances caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the UAE has succeeded in changing the challenges into opportunities for innovation and development.
Among those achievements are the Hope Probe launch from Japan's Tanegashima Space Center, the Abrahamic Peace Accords, the start-up of the first nuclear power plant, and the Coronavirus outbreak's containment
