Ms. Muna Al Maeeni, Deputy Head of Mission in Tokyo, delivered on the 6th of October a speech on the UAE-Japan trade relations at the second webinar entitled The Dubai Advantage: Food and Agriculture Opportunities in Dubai as part of a series of webinars organized by the UAE Embassy to communicate with investors and potential partners in Japan and to discuss promising opportunities in vital sectors in the country, including healthcare, food, agribusiness, and technology sectors.

Since 1979, The UAE has been participating in the Sumo tournament by gifting the winner a huge coffee pot. The usage of the coffee pot is an indication of hospitality in the UAE, where guests are always welcomed by a fresh cup of coffee. This is the original coffee pot that was used in 1979 by UAE Ambassador Ahmed Almoqarab. It is made out of silver. A different coffee pot was used until July 2023 and the latest version was introduced in the September 2023 Sumo Final in Tokyo.
