UAE Ambassador Reviews Implementation of the “Single Travel Point” System at Bahrain International Airport

On the occasion of the launch of the “Single Travel Point” system for air travel between the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Bahrain, H.E. Fahad Mohammed bin Kardous Al Ameri, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Kingdom of Bahrain, affirmed that this significant initiative represents a new and important step in strengthening bilateral cooperation, advancing joint Gulf integration, and promoting greater connectivity and freedom of movement for citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

During a tour of Bahrain International Airport in Manama on Tuesday, 17 February 2026, during which he was briefed on the mechanisms for implementing the “Single Travel Point” system, His Excellency said that the new mechanism represents a major step forward in enhancing the travel system between the two countries, promoting tourism and business activity, supporting trade and investment exchange, and opening broader horizons for economic cooperation, in line with the aspirations of the leaderships of the two countries towards greater integration across various fields.

His Excellency commended the benefits offered by the new system, which enables passengers to complete all travel procedures at a single point without having to pass repeatedly through inspection points. The system is available to passengers travelling on Etihad Airways and Gulf Air, and applies to citizens of both countries travelling between Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi and Bahrain International Airport in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

He noted that the system contributes to expediting the completion of procedures, ensuring greater efficiency and seamless passenger movement, enhancing the overall travel experience, and improving the quality and efficiency of services in line with international best practices.

His Excellency also highlighted the advanced readiness of the infrastructure and modern technologies at the airports of both countries, as well as the distinguished coordination and integration between the relevant authorities in the two brotherly countries, which have contributed to achieving this milestone efficiently and effectively.

His Excellency expressed his deep pride in the historic fraternal relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Bahrain, and in the continued attention and support they receive from the leaderships of the two brotherly countries.

He stressed that these strong relations reflect the shared commitment of the two countries to advancing bilateral cooperation towards broader horizons and strengthening the foundations of joint Gulf action, in pursuit of its desired objectives of achieving greater connectivity and integration.
