H.E. Khaled Nasser AlAmeri assumed his duties as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, and presented his credentials to the President of Sri Lanka on 25 February 2022.
Ambassador AlAmeri began his diplomatic career in 1997 and joined the Diplomatic and Consular Corps at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Since then, he has been appointed as Deputy Director of Information in 2003, Head of South Asia Division in 2016, Deputy Director of West Asia Department in 2018, and as Director of West Asia Department in 2020.
H.E. Khaled Nasser AlAmeri has represented the UAE in regional and international fora, including the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) organized by UN in its two cycles in Geneva and Tunisia; the high officials, ministerial, and summit meetings of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA); and the high officials, ministerial, and summit meetings of the Heart of Asia (Afghanistan).
He was honoured by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in UAE with the Best Director Award in the political sector for the year 2020, in recognition of his outstanding and dedicated service.
The Ambassador was born in the Emirate of Al Ain, in the UAE, in 1974, and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Arizona, USA in 1997. He was conferred the Master’s Degree in International Business Management by the United Arab Emirates University in 2005. Ambassador AlAmeri is also a graduate of the UAE Government Executive Leadership Program in 2012. He is fluent in Arabic and English languages and is married with children.
