Her Excellency Dr. Nariman Al Mulla, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Armenia, held a virtual meeting with representatives of Dubai Chambers and SolitAir, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen economic and trade cooperation between the UAE and Armenia and explore new opportunities to support bilateral trade between the two friendly nations.
The meeting focused on prospects for expanding Armenian product exports to UAE markets.
Participants also discussed available logistical solutions to facilitate trade flows between the two countries, including air freight services and mechanisms to ensure the efficient and timely movement of Armenian goods to the UAE.
The meeting further addressed ways to establish direct communication channels between Armenian producers and exporters and retail chains in the UAE, and reviewed practical measures that would facilitate Armenian products reaching the Emirati consumer.
Her Excellency the Ambassador affirmed the UAE’s commitment to strengthening economic partnerships with Armenia and supporting initiatives that increase the volume of bilateral trade and diversify areas of economic and investment cooperation.
She also highlighted the importance of leveraging the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between the UAE and the Eurasian Economic Union, noting the significant advantages and opportunities it offers for enhancing trade and investment flows.
She noted that the agreement grants preferential treatment to approximately 95% of current Armenian exports and reduces customs duties on a wide range of goods, significantly enhancing the competitiveness of Armenian products in the UAE market.
This also opens avenues for their use in manufacturing and re-export through the UAE to broader markets across the Middle East and North Africa — generating added value for both sides and supporting the growth of bilateral economic relations.
