As part of the follow-up to the outcomes of the first meeting on exporting Armenian products to the UAE and Gulf states, and to review the missions’ recommendations and perspectives on facilitating access for Armenian products to Gulf markets, His Excellency Gevorg Papoyan, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, received Her Excellency Dr. Nariman Al Mulla, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Armenia, along with the ambassadors and representatives of Kuwait, Qatar, and the Republic of Iraq. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Ministers of Economy of Armenia, Arman Khojoyan and Anushik Avetyan.
During the meeting, participants discussed ways to strengthen economic and trade cooperation between Armenia and the Gulf states, particularly increasing the presence of Armenian products in Gulf markets, developing transport and logistics routes, and organizing direct business-to-business (B2B) meetings between companies. His Excellency the Minister affirmed the important role played by embassies in supporting communication between producers and importers, as well as major retail networks and distributors, thereby contributing to expanding the horizons of trade and investment cooperation.
At the conclusion of the meeting, His Excellency the Minister responded to the ambassadors’ inquiries and took note of their proposals for strengthening trade and economic relations, in support of shared interests and opening new horizons for cooperation between Armenia and the Gulf states.
